Food Safety Extension Program -- Clemson University

Clemson University, founded in 1889, is one of the top public universities in the United States. As a land-grant university, Clemson is part of a national system created by the U.S. Congress to improve the quality of life for citizens in every state through teaching, research and outreach.  While faculty members teach Clemson students, the university’s statewide network of Public Service Activities (PSA) conducts research and outreach programs to improve the quality of life for citizens in South Carolina.  Food safety is one of the key outreach programs.

The Food Safety Extension program, housed in the Department of Food Science and Human Nutrition, focuses on providing current and relevant food safety information to all points of the food chain from farm to table.  To find out more about the Food Safety Extension Program in South Carolina, contact Dr. Angela Fraser, Department of Food Science and Human Nutrition, Clemson University, Clemson, SC.
