You don't want to miss the most important safety & security trade events. We identify the top shows, and then we work with the organizers to provide special added value - such as U.S. Pavilions - for U.S. companies that participate. Commercial Service staff attend the shows, and often provide matchmaking services for U.S. companies. U.S. shows that are part of the Department of Commerce's International Buyer Program will feature overseas delegations and an International Business Center staffed by Department of Commerce employees.

Defendory International Exhibition

Defendory International is held every two years and is one of the largest exhibitions and a recognized showcase for the defense and security sectors.  The show is organized by the Institute of Industrial Exhibitions in cooperation with the Greek Ministry of National Defense.  The 2006 exhibition was attended by approximately 440 exhibitors from 30 countries, and attracted 32,000 defense industry business visitors and government officials from 84 countries, including 51 foreign national military delegations from the Middle and Near East, Africa, Asia, Europe, and America. Security 2008

Security is held in Essen, Germany every other year. It is the largest and most comprehensive show in the world on security products, equipment, and services with a truly international character. The show is complemented by lectures, a "Security Congress" and forums on classical subjects - like dangers caused by the Internet, civil security research and future trends in security technology. Special themes covered during the last edition included "Technology Against Terror" and "IT Security”. The 17th SECURITY, global fair for security and fire protection in 2006 attracted 40,600 trade visitors from 56 nations. The proportion of foreign companies amongst the record figure of 1,036 exhibitors from 48 nations rose to 42 percent. Among the 28 U.S. exhibitors, 13 decided to participate in the U.S. Pavilion.  For the next event Essen Trade Show New York, the U.S. representative of Messe Essen, will apply for Trade Fair Certification from the U.S. Department of Commerce. Working out the USA Pavilion during the show, he will meet with U.S. exhibitors and visitors, provide market input, ad-hoc interpreting, logistics assistance, and one-on-one counseling sessions to assist them in finding European representatives. EURONAVAL- International Naval Defense and Maritime Exhibition and Conference
