OSM FACT SHEET U.S. Department of the Interior Office of Surface Mining June 23, 1999 OSM AWARDS KENTUCKY $16, 330, 076 GRANT FOR ABANDONED MINE LANDS PROGRAM The Interior Department's Office of Surface Mining Reclamation and Enforcement (OSM) announced today that Kentucky has been awarded a $16, 330, 076 grant to fund the state's abandoned mine lands (AML) program. The $16, 330, 076 grant includes $16, 284, 418 in current year money, plus $45, 658 in funds carried over from prior year funding.
