	OSM AWARDS ALASKA $182,455 TO ASSIST
	IN REGULATING SURFACE EFFECTS OF COAL MINING
The Interior Department's Office of Surface Mining Reclamation and 
Enforcement (OSM) is providing Alaska a $182,455 grant to help the state 
regulate the surface effects of coal mining.
The grant assists in paying half of Alaska=s inspection and enforcement 
costs, including equipment, supplies and transportation.
