                OSM AWARDS CROW TRIBE $114,239 TO ASSIST
              IN REGULATING SURFACE EFFECTS OF COAL MINING
                                    
The Interior Department s Office of Surface Mining Reclamation and
Enforcement (OSM) is providing the Crow tribe with a $114,239 grant to help regulate
the surface effects of coal mining on tribal lands in Montana.
The grant assists in paying half of the Crow s inspection and enforcement costs,
including equipment, supplies and transportation.
