                  OSM AWARDS LOUISIANA $191,146 GRANT
               TO REGULATE SURFACE EFFECTS OF COAL MINING
                                    
The Interior Department s Office of Surface Mining Reclamation and Enforcement
(OSM) is providing Louisiana with a $191,146 grant to help the state regulate the surface
effects of coal mining.
The grant assists in paying half of Louisiana s inspection and enforcement costs,
including equipment, supplies and transportation.
