NIJ Standard-0101.06, Ballistic Resistance of Body Armor Cover 

NLECTC Accepting Applications for Participation in Support of NIJ Standard-0101.06, Ballistic Resistance of Body Armor

In July 2008, NIJ released the new NIJ Standard-0101.06, Ballistic Resistance of Body Armor.

As of December 16, 2008, the National Institute of Justice (NIJ) has given authorization to the Compliance Testing Program (CTP) at NLECTC-National to begin accepting applications for participation in the newly revised CTP to be conducted in support of NIJ Standard-0101.06, Ballistic Resistance of Body Armor.
 

Comments Needed!

NIJ has completed work on the revision of the Hand Held Metal Detector and Walk Through Metal Detector standards, and with the assistance of an expert panel has developed a bomb suit standard based on research and testing perfomed by the Natick Soldier Research, Development, & Engineering (RD&E) Center.

Public comment is sought on these documents, and  is open to industry technical representatives, public safety agencies and organizations, research, development and scientific communities, and all other stakeholders and interested parties.
