Thank you for visting AutismColorado.org.

Our mission is to promote the quality of life for people with autism
spectrum disorders and their families.

The Autism Society of Colorado was founded in 1970 to fight for the right of students with autism to attend public schools. We won that battle in 1975 but there is still a lot of work to do.

Graham's

Long Walk

Hello, my name is Robert Gowder and I’m hiking the Appalachian Trail to raise money for the Autism Society of Colorado. This hike is named in honor of Graham, son of one of my oldest friend. All proceeds will go directly to the Autism Society of Colorado, which provides help for hundreds of people with autism and their family members.

I will depart from the Southern terminus of the Appalachian Trail the last weekend of August, 2008. I hope to make it to Harper’s Ferry, West Virginia by no later than the second week of November (1,002 miles). I will be back in Colorado for the winter, and will resume the hike on through to Maine in late April, 2009 (roughly 1,200 miles).
In total, I will be hiking 2,200 miles in honor of Graham.

Again, all monies received will go directly to the Autism Society of Colorado and their efforts to assist people with autism and their families. Help me make a difference, help families in Colorado, help those who need it most.

For more information about Robert's hike and to view a list of his generous sponsors, visit http://grahamslongwalk.com, or you can contact Robert directly at RobertGowder@hotmail.com.

To make a donation in honor of Graham or in support of Robert, please click on the "Donate" button at the top of this page.
