In order to most effectively support the charitable efforts of the National VOAD members, financial contributions are best. These disaster relief and recovery non-profits and faith based organizationscan use cash to meet survivors' needs more quickly. Donations are critically low. We are reliant on the generous spirit of the American people.

Financial donations are needed:

  • To provide relief for the recent storms -- Gustav and Hanna
  • To support the long term recovery efforts for the Midwest floods and Tropical Storms Fay and Dolly
  • And to help us prepare for Hurricane Ike

Welcome to National VOAD Minimize

National Voluntary Organizations Active in Disaster (National VOAD) is the forum where organizations share knowledge and resources throughout the disaster cycle—preparation, response and recovery—to help disaster survivors and their communities.

Members of National VOAD form a coalition of nonprofit organizations that respond to disasters as part of their overall mission. Together we foster more effective service through the four C’s—communication, coordination, cooperation and collaboration—by providing convening mechanisms and outreach for all people and organizations involved in disasters.
