The Jack C. Montgomery VA Medical Center (JCMVAMC) is a general med/surg facility whose mission is to honor America's veterans by providing exceptional health care that improves their health and well-being. The Medical Center is comprised of a hospital, which provides primary and secondary levels of inpatient medical and surgical care, and three outpatient clinics that provide primary and consultative care in medicine, surgery, and mental health. As part of the South Central VA Health Care Network, the hospital and clinics have ready access to nine sister facilities for referral and use the VAMCs in Oklahoma City and Little Rock for the majority of tertiary services. JCMVAMC provides services for more than 45,000 enrolled veterans in three locations. In Muskogee, the medical center operates 88 hospital beds and an outpatient clinic in a state-of-the-art facility, which opened in 1998. This includes the new 15-bed Inpatient Behavioral Health Unit which opened July 31, 2006, and the new 20-bed Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit, which opened Feb. 20, 2007.  JCMVAMC also operates a VA-staffed Community Based Outpatient Clinic (CBOC) in Tulsa, which relocated to a new facility in 2000.  Tulsa's Behavioral Medicine Service was moved to a new location in January 2006 to accommodate the increased need and therapy rooms.
