Research Project: LINKAGE OF THE USDA-EAGH MODEL WITH THE REGIONAL SIMULATION MODEL (RSM)

Location: Miami, Florida

Project Number: 6631-13000-003-01
Project Type: Trust

Start Date: Aug 01, 2003
End Date: Jul 31, 2008

Objective:
The objective is to couple the Fortran source code from the hydrologic component of the Everglades Agro-hydrologic Model (EAHM) with the South Florida Water Management District Regional Simulation Model (RSM) as a selectable "pseudo cell" for simulating hydrology of agricultural land of Dade County.

Approach:
The Fortran source code for the hydrologic component of the EAHM will be extracted from the model and rewritten as subroutine consistent with the structure of the RSM. A C++ wrapper will be written to link the EAHM with the Hydrologic Simulation Engine (HSE) within RSM.
