Areas of Ministry
- Pastoral Care- Prayer, scriptures, insight, listening, encouragement, support.
- Pastoral Counseling- Individual, marriage and family counseling on moral, ethical, emotional, spiritual or faith issues.
- Pastoral Visitation- ministry of presence at the University, visitation of the hospitalized and confined, pre-operative prayer or counseling, as desired.
- Spiritual Direction- a holistic integration of the whole person in the journey to holiness.
- Sacraments/Ordinances as needed.
- Observance of Religious Rites religious observances, command functions and social activities.
- Classes & Seminars- in the areas of value formation, ethical decision-making, bioethics, and faith-life related topics.
- Literature Ministry Free devotional, inspirational, and self-help literature located by the Chaplain's Office.
- E-mail: Thought for the Day - weekly inspirational thoughts.
- Referral Service - on locating a place of worship, military or civilian, and counseling referral about issues outside the chaplain's expertise.
- Monday Bible Study - weekly brown bag lunch, 1145, Room A2053.
- Field Exercises . worship services, training and ministry in the field environment for students and staff.
- Memorial Services . Chaplain-led community prayers in memory of a deceased member of the university.
