"What a marvelous experience - Finding Mt. Everest!!! As a taxpayer for more than 50 years, I'd say this experience is great payback. Just the one recent picture is superb (recent pix of day), but the tour is truly incredible. This from one who has heard my neighbor Brad Washburn extole various peaks. I will be reccommending this trip to many friends - for all sorts of reasons. As a pioneer of computer graphics, worked with Ivan Sutherland in 60's, I never imagined we would have the broadband facility and image technology this soon. I have visited both China and India, but never thought I would get such views of Everest. Again, thanks for the views. [Should add, I have sought the site for Sat. Fire views over past years, as a consultant on Fire Safety Physics, formerly associated with NIST fire program - helping start it.]"

"This is just to say how excited I was to find your JSC ISS astronaut photos website. I was searching for photos of "Gora Belukha", Altai mountains, Russia, which I am going into in July-August. Five minutes of work, bam, bam, bam, and I found two incredible images, 10,000X better than Landsat 7. And, your website is a snap to use. Find the coordinates on your map, click on where you want, and you've got it! I can hardly wait to see what the high resolution downloads of these images are like. Whoever designed your website to find astronaut photos did a superb job."

I'm not a real frequent user, but I have downloaded images from you, and really appreciate the variety and quality of what you offer.

Whenever we travel we visit your site to find pictures of our destinations. (Most recently we looked for images of Costa Rica and Central America.)

I am always surprized at the variety of pictures. My kids have downloaded images of things like the rainforests and the Amazon for school reports, and my wife (who is a children's writer) often asks me to find her images of the places and topics she is writing about.

I went looking for something about Afghanistan one evening and ended up viewing dozens of images from Middle East and Northern Africa.

I often share the information I find on your site with other people, so you are having an impact that goes well beyond the visitors to the website.

Your note about the new features prompted me to let you know that what you are doing is important and appreciated. I don't generally write fan letters, but I realized I really am a fan of your site and what you are doing.

"Your invaluable contributions to mans understanding of this planet, planets and their satellites in our solar system, systems abroad, galaxies, and the universe puts into perspective how insignificant we actually are in the grand scheme of things. These pictures humble me every time I look at them and should make everyone realize that we are merely a speck in our galaxy, and that our galaxy is a speck in the universe, so what does that make us as individuals? "I just wanted to let you know how much I appreciate this web site (eol.jsc.nasa.gov) ! As a petroleum geologist I find the photos fasinating and very informative. Throughout my career I have spent a good deal of time looking at carbonate rocks, therefore high altitude/space photos of modern carbonate systems (Bahamas, Turks and Caicos, Belize, etc) are particularly helpful for depositional analogs. The clickable map function is a great way to locate some spectacular shots that can be easily downloaded into Micosoft Powerpoint presentations (with acknowledgements to NASA)."

"I believe the site is an educational gold mine, I have told several colleagues about it and wish all science teachers knew about it! I hope NASA plans to keep the site going and will continue to add to the collection."
