The Gateway to Astronaut Photography of Earth

IPY View Angle Field

The required View Angle field is for specifying the look angle between the camera and the Earth. A value of "Nadir" means that the camera is looking virtually straight down at the Earth. A value of "Oblique" means that the camera is looking at the Earth with a noticible angle but not so great that the horizon is visible. A value of "Limb" means that the look angle is such that the horizon is visible with some Earth in the foreground. A value of "Upper Atmosphere" means that most or all of the picture is above the horizon.

This value is used only for helping us compose our photography request to the crew.
