Updated
Hepatitis
(LAB02 1999-2000) In the 1999-2000 Lab 02 Hepatitis dataset, LBXHBC and LBDHBG values
are set to missing for SEQN=4130.
Hepatitis
C Follow Up Questionnaire (HCQ_C 2003-2004) Language was added to the documentation for the 2001-2002 and 2003-2004
Hepatitis C Follow Up Questionnaire datasets to make clear that these data
should not be used with sample weights to make national estimates.
Additionally, the variable LBDHCV was removed from the dataset. This
variable is more properly used from the lab dataset LAB02
Dual
Energy X-ray Absorptiometry (DXX 1999-2004) A line of code needed to construct the sample weights was
inadvertently omitted from the SAS programs PROC DESCRIPT and PROC REGRESS.
The programs have been corrected as of 04/04/08; if you used this SAS code
prior to this date, please review your SAS program code.
To meet the growing demands
of NHANES data users, a two more web-based tutorial were developed to
promote and facilitate broader and more proficient use of NHANES II and
NHANES I data. These tutorials is intended to serve as:
A
step-by-step course on NHANES II and NHANES I data retrieval and analysis
for new users.
A
self-learning tool for novice and infrequent users to supplement their
knowledge of the NHANES II and NHANES I datasets.
The NHANES II and NHANES I
tutorials, each consisting of courses orienting the user to the survey,
preparing an analytic dataset, and survey design factors, are now available
on the NHANES website. This tutorial supplements the Continuous NHANES and
the NHANES III tutorials. While Continuing professional education credit is
available for the Continuous NHANES Web Tutorial, it is not available for
the NHANES III, NHANES II, or NHANES I Web Tutorial.
The access to NHANES
Tutorials is available via the second bulleted link 'NHANES
Tutorials', located under the 'What's New' item or through the icon
on the right side of the NHANES home page.
Physical
Functioning (PFQ 2005-2006) The 2003-2004 and 2005-2006 Physical

Birth" category for the duration of health problems (PFD-69A-R).
