Strike Teams in Action!
Our new apparatus, along with several dozen of our firefighters and chief officers have been put to the test at some of the many major wildfires throughout California these last two months. Strike teams responded to all three of the major fires in Santa Cruz County (the Summit, Martin and Trabing fires) in May and June, as well as out-of-county fires including the Butte County Lightening Complex (Chico area), Indians Fire (in Los Padres Natl. Forest), and most recently the Telegraph Fire in Yosemite Valley.
