The Chem shop is made up for MST’s ranging from the shop Chief to MST3’s. The shop is headed by the Chem-Officer.  This shop maintains all the chemical / WMD detectors and instrumentation at the unit, along with all the PPE that goes along with a HAZMAT response including Respiratory. This requires monthly checks and annual calibration from the factory.  During our maintenance stan-down all the Level “A” suits have to be checked and inspected along with all the rebreathers.
