Initial participants selected for ITWS Prototype Service, 7/21/2008
On June 20, 2008, the FAA released criteria to industry users interested in participating in an ITWS Prototype Service to examine the feasibility of distributing real-time ITWS digital weather data in an industry-standard data format (XML) using a Service Oriented Architecture (SOA)-compliant Web Services interface.
FAA releases market survey for support services for the NextGen Air Transportation System Initiatives, 7/14/2008
The FAA is seeking interested sources that are capable of providing Support Services to the FAA.  This support is for the NextGen within the FAA’s AFS-400, Flight Procedures and Technologies Division.  It is contemplated that this requirement will be competed under full and open competitive procedures.

The System Wide Information Management (SWIM) Program is a National Airspace System (NAS)-wide information system that supports Next Generation Air Transportation System (NextGen) goals. SWIM will enable increased common situational awareness and improved NAS agility to deliver the right information to the right place at the right time. SWIM development is a collaborative effort among varied stakeholders, all of whom are encouraged to follow SWIM progress on this site and review SWIM documentation as it is posted here.
