DESCRIPTION OF SESSION:
ETA will host three, 1½ day education sessions throughout July to provide training on the common performance measures for adults and youth, and to highlight and explain revised reporting instructions for labor exchange (including VETS), TAA and WIA. The sessions will address programmatic and policy issues associated with implementation of the Common Measures, as well as more technical performance reporting issues. Two major areas will be covered during the education session:
- Implementing the Common Measures policy. ETA’s presenters will cover in detail the common performance measures policy described in Training and Employment Guidance Letter No. 28-04, including a discussion of the implications for each program (labor exchange, TAA and WIA).
- Overview of revisions to the reporting packages. Presenters will discuss the transition to the revised requirements from the current reporting requirements for labor exchange, TAA and WIA. Changes to the ETA 9002 and the VETS 200 reports will be highlighted for labor exchange programs, while changes to the TAPR will be highlighted for the TAA program. Changes to the WIA quarterly report, annual report and individual records submission will be highlighted for the WIA program.
This workshop is designed for State-level program administrators and performance reporting specialists for the WIA (including national emergency grants), labor exchange (including ES and VETS’ DVOP and LVER programs), and TAA programs.
The session will be repeated in three locations: Philadelphia on July 14-15, Phoenix in July 20-21, and Chicago on July 27-28. The first day in each location will begin at 8:30 am and end no later than 5:00 pm. The second day in each location will begin at 8:30 am, and end by 1:00pm. Please contact your regional performance specialist for additional information on the session, or send questions to ETAperforms@dol.gov.
