Notes:

This suite of comparative views was developed for use as an electronic handbook for astronauts; it was first distributed to the STS 95 crew.

The grand scale of Hadley Rille dwarfs Apollo 15 astronaut Jim Irwin and his Lunar Roving Vehicle (LRV). Apollo 15 was the first of the “J-missions”, a new direction for lunar exploration in which crews received extensive training in geology. (NASA photograph AS15-85-11450)
