Nebraska
Medicaid Program
Medicaid Services
Nebraska Medicaid covers many medically necessary services from health providers who
participate in the Nebraska Medicaid program. Some preventive services, such as well child
check-ups and childhood vaccines, are also covered. For a listing of services, see Services Covered by Medicaid. For information about telehealth
services, click here Coverage and Reimbursement for
Telehealth.
The Nebraska Medicaid Program has received approval of a 1915(b) waiver which
authorizes the operation of the Nebraska Health Connection, Nebraska's Medicaid Managed
Care Program. The waiver authorizes mental health and substance abuse services for managed
care clients statewide in addition to primary care services for Children with Special
Health Care Needs and the American Indian/Alaskan Native population in Douglas, Sarpy, and
Lancaster Counties. The balance of the managed care population receives primary care
services under the authority of the State Plan. The Nebraska Medicaid Program also
has received approval of several home and community-based waivers under section 1915(c) of
the Social Security Act. |
