Loan of MaterialsLibrary books arranged on shelves

The Mike Monroney Aeronautical Center Library's circulating materials, including back issues of periodicals, may be checked out for a three-week loan period to qualified borrowers.  Qualified borrowers include employees and contractors at the Mike Monroney Aeronautical Center, students enrolled in Aeronautical Center courses, and other libraries through the interlibrary loan system.  Reference materials and current issues of periodicals can be borrowed for overnight use.  Renewals are allowed for materials which are not in demand.  Some types of materials do not circulate.

Interlibrary Loan Service for Aeronautical Center Employees and Contractors

If the Mike Monroney Aeronautical Center Library does not own the specific book, journal article, or report needed for your project, ask about interlibrary loan service.  The Aeronautical Center Library participates in an automated interlibrary loan network, Online Computer Library Center, Inc. (OCLC), and has access to the resources of thousands of participating libraries.  Loans of materials from other libraries are restricted to work related needs.

Reference Service

The Mike Monroney Aeronautical Center Library provides reference service by phone or in person to all library users.  Reference service ranges from ready reference inquiries to more in-depth research assistance. The librarian will be glad to work with you to determine appropriate sources for meeting your information needs.  Due to limited staffing extensive research service cannot be provided to the public.

For further information see the Aeronautical Center Library User Service Policy.
