IMF - International Myeloma Foundation

International Myeloma Foundation

The International Myeloma Foundation (IMF) is dedicated to improving the quality of life of myeloma patients while working toward prevention and a cure.

IMF was founded in 1990 and is dedicated to finding a cure for multiple myeloma, also known as plasma cell neoplasm. IMF conducts educational patient seminars, clinical conferences, and scientific workshops; funds grant and scholarship programs; and offers patient and family support, advocacy and educational initiatives.

Partnership Activities

Working closely with CDC, IMF will expand and distribute their current programs, including their flagship patient and family seminars, Myeloma Today newsletter, toll-free hotline and other educational materials and services for myeloma patients; sponsor additional conferences and workshops for the collection of the latest information on research, diagnosis, treatment, and management of myeloma; develop materials and methods for information dissemination, in partnership with federal agencies, to individuals who may be underserved, uninsured or underinsured, or of racial/ethnic background not currently served; and establish support groups and seminars to better serve these individuals.
