Whiting Campground
There is no water available in Whiting Campground. Campers will be required to bring their own water for drinking, washing and cooking. There is only water available to run the flushing toilets.
Mill Hollow Campground Closed until Summer 2008
The Utah Division of Wildlife Resources has drained Mill Hollow Reservoir. Mill Hollow Reservoir does not meet current dam safety criteria as required by the Utah Division of Water Rights, Office of Dam Safety. Heber Ranger District
- Mill Hollow Campground has been closed until Summer 2008.
Pleasant Grove Ranger District
- Little Mill Campground is closed until 2008 for campground reconstruction
- The Alpine Loop Scenic Byway typically opens by memorial day and remains open until snowfall closes the road in the fall.
Spanish Fork Ranger District
- The Nebo Loop Scenic Byway will likely open on
June 6 due to heavy snowfall and typically remains
open until snowfall closes the road in the fall.
Whiting Campground
- Vehicles with trailers will not be permitted to park at the Whiting Campground trailhead from Memorial Day through Labor Day. During this time, all vehicles with trailers will be required to park at the lower equestrian parking lot. This restriction is being implemented to manage the increasing use at the trailhead.
Diamond Fork

The Central Utah Water Conservancy District managed the construction of a tunnel to transport water for about 6 miles from the Sixth Water Aqueduct to the Diamond Fork Pipeline. The Conservancy District maintains an Upper Diamond Fork Project website detailing their work in Upper Diamond Fork, including background information on the project, monthly construction reports, and maps.

Dispersed (undeveloped) camping is not allowed from the intersection with Spanish Fork Canyon (Highway 6), continuing 12 miles to an area known as Tanner Ridge. This restriction is to allow for rehabilitation of the areas disturbed by the construction of the Diamond Fork System.
