Mark your calendar for June 2–3, 2008, and plan to attend the Symposium on Mucolipin Function in Disease at the Cloister (Building 60) on the National Institutes of Health campus in Bethesda, Maryland.

Sponsored by the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute (NHLBI) and the National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke (NINDS), this symposium will bring together basic and clinical investigators interested in the cellular function of mucolipins and their implication in Mucolipidosis Type IV and other human diseases. Investigators will share recent research findings and participants will discuss, evaluate, and propose research needs and priorities to further understanding of the disease and develop therapies to treat it.
