Fisheries Behavioral Ecology - Experimental Systems
Experimental systems include:
A series of large, environmentally controlled circular tanks (3 m diameter, 1.3 m depth) with partitions and video systems for behavior, predator-prey, and habitat studies. |

Infra-red systems coupled with low light video capabilities for analysis of behavior in controlled light conditions to complete darkness. Includes two circular tanks (2.5 m diameter, 1 m depth) and a series of smaller environmentally controlled tanks. |

A net-towing apparatus (4.5 m diameter) for simulation of fish capture in the cod end of trawl gear. |
Two state-of-the-art, cube-shaped observation tanks (2.5 m x 2.5 m) for the study of vertical distribution, feeding, social behavior, and predator-prey interactions under controlled gradients of light, temperature, and turbidity. |
