The Impaired Driving Division at National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) seeks to work cooperatively to save lives, prevent injuries, and reduce traffic-related healthcare and economic costs resulting from impaired driving (alcohol and other drugs). NHTSA collaborates with many criminal justice and community organizations to sponsor impaired driving campaigns such as Drunk Driving. Over the Limit.   Working Partners raises awareness about the impact drugs and alcohol have on the workplace and helps employers and employees work together to ensure safety on the road, in the office and at a worksite. Individuals most likely to drive impaired—those between the ages of 21 and 34—are well represented in the workplace and provide a captive audience for prevention messages.
