Collection Summary

The small collection contains material related to Eugene Rogot's study to understand the general mortality trends of smokers vs. non-smokers. As described in the final report's introduction, the study followed U.S. veterans with Government Life Insurance Policies from 1954-1969. It was a joint study between the Veterans Adminstration and NIH and was a follow-up of the Dorn and Kahn studies. Items include reports, correspondence, data, statistics, surveys, and notes.
