In 1995 and early 1996, the Seattle-King County Department of Public Health conducted the Ethnicity and Health Survey among King County adult residents (age 18 and older) of African American, Latino/Hispanic, Chinese, Filipino, Japanese, Korean, and Vietnamese heritage. This survey was designed to identify specific health needs and lead to a discussion of appropriate disease prevention services for these communities.
