| A landing craft unit from Assault Craft Unit 1, attached to the 13th Marine Expeditionary Unit, drops off Jordanian troops and vehicles in support of Exercise Bright Star, Sept. 13, 2005. The exercise, designed to enhance the interoperability and cohesiveness of coalition forces through various training scenarios, to include amphibious and combined-arms operations, affords U.S. servicemembers the opportunity to build awareness and relationships with the host nation of Egypt and fellow coalition forces.
