In October 2005, the National Library of Medicine announced its intention to issue a Request for Applications (RFA) for pre-doctoral and post-doctoral research training in biomedical informatics (see http://grants.nih.gov/grants/guide/notice-files/NOT-LM-05-011.html). The expected date of publication for that RFA is January 2006.

NLM will hold an informational teleconference for prospective applicants. The date of the informational teleconference will be Thursday, January 26, 2006 , between 1:00 pm to 2:30 pm EST. Questions will be accepted in advance, or may be posed during the teleconference. Those who wish to participate must register in advance for the teleconference.

To register, send a message to Pam Beheler (behelerp@mail.nih.gov) with “T-15 Conference Registration” in the subject line of your message. In response you will receive instructions on how to call in and participate in the teleconference, and how to submit questions in advance of the teleconference.

All prospective applicants are encouraged to participate in the teleconference. The results of the teleconference, either in the form of minutes and/or responses to the questions asked, will also be available on the NLM Extramural Programs website at http://www.nlm.nih.gov/ep/Training.html.
