Nationwide, 84.6 percent of all persons arrested in 2007 were adults (individuals 18 years of age and over).
Adults accounted for 83.7 percent of those arrested for violent crimes.
Juveniles (individuals under age 18) comprised 26.0 percent of persons arrested for property crimes.
Juveniles accounted for 25.6 percent of all persons arrested for larceny-theft offenses in 2007.
Of all persons arrested for arson, 47.4 percent were juveniles. Among those juveniles, 59.0 percent were under the age of 15.
In 2007, adults accounted for 89.4 percent of all arrests for drug abuse violations.
