The Department of Revenue is cooperating with Oregon State University’s Forestry Extension Program, the Department of Forestry, Oregon State Association of County Assessors, and the Oregon Small Woodlands Association to develop materials to help you understand these changes.
You can get individual assistance over the telephone. The Oregon Department of Revenue Timber Tax staff, Oregon Department of Forestry stewardship foresters, OSU Extension foresters, county assessment staff, and Oregon Small Woodlands Association staff are all trained to answer questions about the new forestland tax programs.
