Update regarding NIDA participation in PAS-05-078, PAS-06-275, and PAS-06-276, “Non-Human Lentiviral Models of the Neurological Complications of AIDS”

The purpose of this notice is to alert the research community that the National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA) has renewed its commitment to support research related to PAS-05-078 (R01), PAS-06-275 (R03), and PAS-06-276 (R21), “Non-Human Lentiviral Models of the Neurological Complications of AIDS.”  In addition to funds available from other institutes, NIDA intends to commit up to $400,000 in total costs in FY 2007 to fund drug abuse-related grants in response to this PAS, depending on the overall scientific merit of the applications and the availability of funds.
