Buying Oregon Cigarette Tax Stamps
To order Oregon cigarette tax stamps from the Department of Revenue (DOR), use the form currently supplied by the department. Call one of the phone numbers on the reverse side to get more forms
 
You can place orders and purchase Oregon cigarette tax stamps by mail, by fax, or in person.

Orders by mail
Mail your cigarette tax stamp order directly to the Department of Revenue. (Cash distributors' orders must include payment.) Orders received by 11 a.m. will be filled and shipped the same day.
 
We will use the delivery method you specify. You are responsible for the shipping cost and will be billed directly by the courier. If you have not already done so, please make billing arrangements with your courier service.
 
Notify the Department of Revenue as soon as possible to confirm your courier, account number, and shipping address.

Orders by fax
Only for deferred-payment customers or for prepaid orders placed at DOR field offices

If you are a deferred-payment customer, you may fax your cigarette tax stamp order directly to the Department of Revenue at 503-945-8019. Faxed orders must be received by 11 a.m. to be filled the same day. The only orders that will be accepted via fax are:
  • Deferred-payment purchases; or
  • Prepaid orders placed at a DOR field office.
To avoid duplicate orders being sent and charged to you, deferred-payment customers should mark the orders that accompany payment "Copy Only: DO NOT FILL—Order Faxed." You are responsible for verifying your fax was received. Call 503-945-8699 to verify receipt.

You may take your tax stamp orders with payment to any of our field offices or to the first-floor reception desk in Room 135 of the Revenue Building in Salem. Field offices are located throughout the state. Locations are listed on the reverse side.
 
The field offices do not stock tax stamps. They accept and process cash payments for tax stamps. After you pay for your tax stamps, the field office staff will fax your order to Salem to be filled. If it is faxed by 11 a.m., your stamps will be shipped the same day. If you are interested in using this option, contact us so we can set up same-day shipping. You are responsible for verifying your fax was received. Call 503-945-8699 to verify receipt.

Stamp pick up
You can arrange to pick up tax stamps at the Revenue Building in Salem after paying for them at the first-floor reception desk in Room 135. We need to make prior arrangements; you cannot get your stamps immediately as a walk-in.
 
If you want to pick up your stamps by armored transport or company truck directly from the Revenue Building in Salem, please contact us to make arrangements.
 
All pick-ups must take place between 1:30 and 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. All pick-ups are done from Room 11.

You may also pay for your stamps in person, at the reception desk in Room 135 of the Revenue Building in Salem, or at one of our field office locations. Deferred-payment distributors:

 
Distributors who have been pre-approved to purchase their stamps using the deferred-payment method can mail or fax their order directly to the Department of Revenue. Our fax number for ordering stamps is 503-945-8019. Deferred-payment distributors who wish to pick up their stamps at the department need to make prior arrangements.
 
Payments for deferred accounts must be received at the department by the 20th of the month. Make your check payable to the Oregon Department of Revenue. Include documentation showing your business name, address, Business Identification Number, and license number and state that your payment is for "Program 510–Cigarette Tax Stamps." Mail your payment to:
