Family Outdoor Adventure on the Boise National Forest!

Image of Smokey Bear.Welcome to "Boise Forest Explorers", a new program designed to encourage Idaho families and visitors alike to enjoy the recreational resources and outdoor activities available on the Boise National Forest. From fishing in a cool mountain lake to camping under the stars, our mission is to help children and families re-connect with the great outdoors, while building the next generation of environmentally conscious citizens.

The Boise Forest Explorers program connects families to the natural world. This Forest - with its many resources, scenic vistas, and waterways - is an invaluable resource to be discovered, treasured and shared.

The 2.6 million acres of public land provides the perfect outdoor get-away for day trips or weekend family outings from the Treasure Valley. So why not take the Boise Forest Explorers challenge, and see how much fun awaits you and your family!
