Volunteer at the Refuge!

Volunteers fill a variety of important functions at the refuge:  greeters at the information desk, staff at the Avocet Corner BookShop, environmental educators, assistants for special events, roving refuge/birding interpreters, tour guides and newsletter writers/publication assistants.

Friends of the Bear River Refuge

Friends of the Bear River Refuge is a not-for-profit charitable organization that is a partner with the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service.  This group is devoted to the promotion, appreciation, and conservation of the wildlife, birds, and habitat of the Bear River Migratory Bird Refuge.   This group has made significant contributions to the refuge, including to the building of the Wildlife Education Center and Avocet Corner BookShop.
