The Education Division seeks to enrich knowledge, understanding, and appreciation of its collections and the variety of cultures and ideas they represent.
Learning opportunities are offered to enhance self-directed and informal learning experiences for all museum visitors, to develop pioneering and innovative programming developed specifically for community needs, and to provide a variety of formal educational programs for the public such as tours, lectures, symposia, performances, demonstrations, school outreach programs, art classes, workshops, and special projects.
