Spoken Document Retrieval Evaluation

TREC, short for Text REtrieval Conference, is a workshop series sponsored by the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) and the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) that promotes information retrieval research by providing appropriate test collections, uniform scoring procedures, and a forum for organizations interested in comparing their results. TREC tracks allow participants to focus on particular subproblems of the retrieval task. More details about TREC can be found on the TREC home page.
