Description:
The mission of the Foundation Fighting Blindness, Inc., (FFB) is to drive the research that will provide prevention, treatments, and cures for people affected by retinitis pigmentosa (RP), macular degeneration (MD), Usher syndrome, and the entire spectrum of retinal degenerative diseases. Usher syndrome is the most common condition involving both hearing and vision and is characterized
by hearing impairment and RP. FFB offers information and referral services for affected individuals, their families, and doctors and eye care professionals. FFB also provides information kits on RP, MD, and Usher syndrome. Holds biannual national conference; contact FFB for date and location.
