Facility Picture

The Dayton VA Medical Center has a proud heritage of providing high quality health care to those who have served our country since 1867. We are one of the three oldest VA facilities, providing continuous service to veterans for 140 years.

This Medical Center provides comprehensive health care, which includes acute, Community Living Center, and Residential care. The ambulatory care program is provided through a variety of clinics including a primary care program designed to assure that we offer an atmosphere of friendly, personal and individualized patient care. Community Based Outpatient Clinics (CBOCs) are located in Lima, Middletown, Richmond and Springfield. The CBOCs offer a complete array of diagnostic, rehabilitative and therapeutic programs and services using state of the art technology to treat the total patient and assure the veteran continuity of care. The medical center also has sharing agreements with Wright Patterson Air Force (military base), in the State of Ohio, and eleven (11) community hospitals.

The Medical Center sits on a 362 acre tract of land (including a national cemetery). A modern replacement hospital was activated in June, 1992.
