Pit Bull Puppy Classes are offered to FREE to anyone who adopts a pit bull puppy from the Albuquerque Animal Care Center or from the Animal Humane Association of New Mexico.

Taught by a Certified Pet Dog Trainer, these classes will teach basic socialization skills to pit bull and pit bull cross puppies two to five months old. Classes are offered on a drop-in basis but it is recommended you reserve a spot ahead of time. You may attend as many classes as you wish up until your puppy is five months old.

Schedule

Classes are held on Saturdays from 9 - 10 AM at the Animal Humane Association of NM, located at 615 Virginia St. SE (map). You can reach the AHANM at (505)255-5523.

Classes cover:

• Housetraining
• Chewing & Biting
• Rambunctious Behavior
• Handling
• Grooming

Requirements:

• Proof of adoption from AACC or AHANM
• Proof of first two Parvo/Distemper vaccinations
• Vaccination schedule must be maintained as long as puppies attend
• Regular flat collar & light leash
