Debbie O'Malley serves as City Council Vice President for the City of Albuquerque.
Councilor O'Malley was born in Albuquerque, where her family has lived for several generations. She is a founder and former executive director for the Sawmill Community Land Trust, a not-for-profit community development corporation that provides housing for low- and moderate-income families.
Debbie and her husband have two grown daughters, April and Kristy, and reside in the North Valley.

Balloon Landing Site Purchase Resolution
Twenty-two acres of Vista del Norte is to be acquired as a balloon landing site and recreational field. Councilor Debbie O'Malley will introduce legislation that transfers funds from various Balloon Fiesta projects to City Council for the balloon landing site purchase.
Block of Blight No Longer
A block of dilapidated housing that has been boarded-up for years is slated for removal by City crews. Jessie and Fred Sais, long-time active members of the Wells Park Neighborhood Association, were instrumental in pushing for removal of these nuisance properties.
Unanimous Vote for New Council President Debbie O'Malley
On Monday, December 4, 2006 Debbie O'Malley, who represents District 2, was unanimously elected the next Council President. She will hold the office for a one-year term and succeeds Martin Heinrich.
