Video Lottery Terminal (VLT)
Shipping Information
No person or entity may ship or transport VLT’s within, into, or through the State of Oregon without first obtaining a written authorization or notification and approval from the State. The written authorization must accompany the terminals(s) when being transported within the State.
 
As referred to above, the "State" is the Oregon State Police, Tribal Gaming Section (TGS),
located in Salem, Oregon. The following steps must be completed to obtain a written
authorization from the Tribal Gaming Section:
 
1. Submit a written request for VLT shipment. The following information must be included in the request:
 
Vendor company name, address, and phone number.
Casino name and the address VLT’s will be shipped to.
Shippers company name, address, and phone number.
Dates VLT’s will be transiting Oregon.
Quantity of VLT’s.
Serial numbers of each VLT.
 
The written authorization will accompany, at all times, the terminal or terminals in transport. A copy of this authorization will be forwarded to the Tribal Gaming Commission.
 
2. Once shipment has been received at a tribal gaming facility, in the event the terminals are sold or traded between compacted tribal gaming operations within the State, written notice is to be forwarded to the Oregon State Police not less than ten (10) days prior to the date written approval is requested for transportation. Verification that the machines are not altered and meet the Compact requirements are required either from a manufacturing representative or the Oregon State Police prior to the machines being placed into play at a different tribal gaming facility.

IT IS RECOMMENDED THAT YOU FAX YOUR COMPLETE WRITTEN REQUEST AT LEAST TEN (10) DAYS PRIOR TO THE DAY OF TERMINAL TRANSPORT.
 
IF AN AMENDMENT TO AN APPROVED WRITTEN AUTHORIZATION IS REQUESTED, THE REQUEST MUST BE RECEIVED BY FAX NO LATER THAN 2:00 PM (PST) Monday through Friday TO BE PROCESSED FOR THE NEXT BUSINESS DAY.
 
No verbal authorization can be given.
