Paying a Parking Citation

How can I pay my Parking Citation?

In Person

You may pay in person at the City Treasurers Office located at City Hall or at the City Treasurers Annex located at 600 2nd St NW, First Floor, Plaza Del Sol Building, Albuquerque, NM 87102. Office hours are 8:00am to 4:50pm Monday thru Friday excluding holidays. If you’ve lost your citation and need a copy, the Parking Division located on the fifth floor, Room 510, can assist you.

By Mail

For your convenience you may pay by mail. Please DO NOT SEND CASH. Payment should be made by check or money order payable to the City of Albuquerque. Please write the citation number and license plate on the check. Foreign or two party checks are not accepted.


CONTESTING A CITATION

You may request a court appearance by appearing in person at Metropolitan Court, 401 Lomas NW, Albuquerque, NM 87012
Phone 505-841-8151.

The registered owner of the vehicle is responsible for any parking citations.

Failure to Respond to a Parking Citation
• After 5 calendar days the fine amount of the citation will double.
• After 15 calendar days the fine amount will triple and a Parking Warrant will be issued for the registered owner of the license plate as identified by the Motor Vehicle Department.

The following action may occur if unpaid citations accumulate and the person fails to appear in court to contest them: The vehicle may be immobilized/booted and then towed after 72 hours. Vehicle owners are responsible for all fees associated with vehicle booting and towing.
