| Serious Injury Crash - Highway 6 Near Banks | ||

Sergeant Malcolm Lewis Oregon State Police - Banks Office: (503) 324-2170 Five people were injured Sunday evening in a two-vehicle head-on crash on Highway 6 near Banks. The highway was reopened about 12 midnight. On September 16, 2007 at approximately 7:15 p.m. a silver 2002 GMC Yukon driven by STACIE ANN BOYER, age 39, from Canby, was eastbound on Highway 6 near milepost 51 when it veered into the westbound lane where a red 2000 Ford F150 pickup driven by AUBREY RAY HUNTER, age 37, from Forest Grove, tried to avoid a head-on collision. The GMC veered back toward the eastbound lane and collided nearly head-on with the Ford pickup. The vehicles came to rest blocking the highway. STACIE BOYER was critically injured and transported by LifeFlight to Oregon Health Sciences University (OHSU) where she is still listed in critical condition Monday morning. The GMC had three passengers who were injured and transported by Metro West ambulance. NICK BOYER, age 16, was seriously injured and transported to OHSU. McKINZIE BOYER, age 14, received non-life threatening injuries and was believed to be transported to St. Vincent's Hospital. KATELYN MARKS, age 15, received non-life threatening injuries and was transported to Legacy Emanuel Hospital. HUNTER received serious non-life threatening injuries and was transported to Legacy Emanuel Hospital by Metro West Ambulance. Safety restraint use information and photographs are not available at this time. Oregon State Police (OSP) troopers from the Banks work site are continuing the investigation with the assistance of an OSP collision re-constructionist. Washington County Sheriff's Office, Banks Fire Department, and ODOT assisted at the scene. ### www.oregon.gov/OSP ###
