The Isaac Cline Award
The Isaac Cline Award is only given to one office in the Southern Region (31 offices) per year for doing outstanding work during significant weather events.

The Isaac Cline Award was given to the staff of the National Weather Service based on the overall performance of the office in handling two significant weather events that occurred during the year. Both events were record events for the area and were extremely well predicted and warned for by the staff. The first was a Winter Storm that struck northeast Texas, southeast Oklahoma, and southwest Arkansas on January 26-27, 2000 producing record snowfalls in many areas. The second event was an outbreak of tornadoes across much of Shreveport's warning area on Easter Sunday, April 23. During this event, the Shreveport office issued 30 excellent and timely warnings that were instrumental in saving lives.

Bronze Medal Award
A Bronze Medal Award was given to Shreveport staff for their timely warnings during the Easter Tornado Outbreak.
An award for Lee Harrison for strong leadership skills
