Oregon SafeNet SafeNet now has a website also. The site is easy to use, with relevant information about health and social services in Oregon included a Resource Diretory for the state. SafeNet targets women, children and teens as well as assisting Oregonians in finding health care, public services and provides information about eligibility to the Oregon Health Plan and other low-cost health insurance options. The programs operate from 8:00 am - 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday, providing on-site English and Spanish assistance. In addition, bilingual services in 144 languages are available through a contract with Tele Interpreters. SafeNet has conference calling capabilities which allow the program information and referral specialists to stay on the line when making a referral or providing information to assure the caller receives the requested assistance. The phone lines are voice and Oregon Relay. The Automatic Call Distribution feature allows a large volume of calls to be served on a first-in, first-out basis. This system guarantees that all incoming calls are distributed equally among the available telephone staff. SafeNet is an active participating agency in the Oregon Partnership to Immunize Children (OPIC). The hotline is the central information number for OPIC's annual April immunization campaign and also promotes free and low-cost clinics throughout the year. SafeNet's Immunization Clinic Database provides staff with immediate access to current information on community immunization clinics statewide. Callers can select the most convenient date and location and be informed of hours, fees and sponsoring agencies. In 2007-2008, SafeNet partnered with the American Lung Association of Oregon to put flu clinic locations on their website. |
