Payment Error Rate Measurement (PERM)

Eligibility Reviews

PERM conducts reviews of eligibility determinations made by states for Medicaid and SCHIP, in order to identify ineligible beneficiaries. States will conduct the reviews of their determinations, and then provide their findings to CMS for calculation of an eligibility error rate. Included in this page are instructions on how the states should submit their findings to the PERM Eligibility Tracking Tool (PETT).

Additional information on eligibility reviews can be found in the PERM Cycle Documents list on the left menu.
