  • Nationwide in 2005, juvenile females (those under 18 years of age) accounted for 16.2 percent of females arrested for violent crimes.
  • Juvenile females also comprised 27.3 percent of all females arrested for property crimes.
  • In 2005, 41.9 percent of females arrested for violent crimes were under 25 years of age. (Based on Table 40.)
  • Among the 29 offense categories for which the UCR Program collects arrest data, larceny-theft was the offense for which most females were arrested.
  • In 2005, 10.5 percent of all females arrested were arrested for drug abuse violations. (Based on Table 40.)
  • Juvenile females accounted for 40.2 percent of all females arrested for arson offenses. (Based on Table 40.)
